Our ambassador Lowri Morgan

We’re proud to have Lowri Morgan as our Gower Activity Centres ambassador.

Pioneering former Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr pupil Lowri has taken part in a number of ultra marathons, including the 350-mile 6633 Arctic Marathon and the 230-mile Jungle Marathon through the Amazon rainforest.

As part of her new role, Lowri will help promote events and support activities including climbing, hiking, bushcraft, survival skills, hill walking, gorge walking, surfing, coasteering and kayaking.

Lowri said: “I’m delighted to become an ambassador for the council’s outdoor activity service on Gower, especially as it was Gower that introduced me to the world of adventure in the first place.

“I’m also passionate about inspiring the next generation to enjoy the great outdoors, so I’m honoured to be able to play a small part in helping make that happen in my home city of Swansea.”

Lowri has also narrated a new promotional video for the Gower Activity Centres.
